Here are some of the various awards I won while working for Apple in the 90's
This award was signed by Jim Buckley, President of Apple USA. I was the top Account Executive (fancy word for sales rep) for the company that year. I got a fancy Oscar you can see in another picture. BTW, Jim Buckley had the best memory of anyone I ever met - he could remember the name of your dog if you told him years ago - and he had thousands of employees working for him at the time.
Times were getting tough, we had a new CEO (Gil Amelio) and sales were dropping quickly. Somehow I still managed to be top sales rep for 1996, but I felt there was more I could do.
This was my final year as an Account Executive, and about 2/3rds of the rest of my sales team friends were laid off. I stayed on, earned my Golden Apple then quit when I felt I wasn't in a place to truly help return Apple to glory. Soon after, I would receive a phone call that changed my life...
This was the very special statue I won in 1995 as the top Apple Account Executive. Lots of Apple people used th call it the "can opener"
I proudly display it on my video editing monitor to remind me of the good times - 12 years ago now!
This award celebrated my 5th year at Apple. In those days, in addition to this plaque I got a golden apple pin with a diamond in it and a 6 week sabbatical.
This is a closeup of the Rep of the Year award where I got rid of the ugly green towel behind it. This image is also shown in the eBook.
